As reports continue to circulate regarding the alleged dismissal of The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Phaedra Parks, the show’s producer and head honcho, Andy Cohen, is spilling some new tea.
During the NBCUniversal Upfronts at Radio City Music Hall in NYC on Monday, Andy revealed to E! News the truth behind Parks apparent departure. “The question that we look at now with Phaedra is, when the reunion ended, none of the other women wanted to have anything to do with her. So that’s what you have to look at,” he said.
The future of Parks’ role on the hit Bravo show became questionable after it was revealed that she was behind the elaborate story that Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker wanted to date rape Porsha Williams.
Cohen added, “How do you shoot a show about a group of friends when no one is speaking to one of the friends?”
Although Bravo has not officially announced Phaedra’s dismissal, it’s becoming more clear that the mother of two will not be starring on Season 10 of the series. Parks, meanwhile, is blaming producers for her big demise. According to Phaedra, producers wrote the rape and drug allegations into the show and fed her the lines.
“Phaedra tried to blame producers for manipulating the scenario, and it was cut from the reunion show,” a source told Page Six. “They’re not allowed to break the ‘fourth wall’ and talk about production. It may not have been entirely Phaedra’s fault, but she has to take the fall.”
