Oprah Winfrey is queen … bow down bishes. After decades in the entertainment industry Lady O is still the most influential African-American in La La Land, this according to The Hollywood Reporter Most Powerful People In Entertainment list.
THR revealed their list on Wednesday and out of the 100 people who made it only 13 were Black. Winfrey, who ranked number nine on the coveted list, solidified her spot due the boost OWN has received this past year (thanks to “Greenleaf” and “Queen Sugar”).
Aside from Oprah, several other notable people of color were named such as comedian Kevin Hart, TGIT front-woman Shonda Rhimes, ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey, “Moonlight” director Barry Jenkins and rounding out the list at the #100 spot, “Atlanta” star Donald Clover.
