According to the documents obtained by HipHollywood.com, MTO published several stories suggesting “without any factual support whatsoever” that Kardashian “faked the robbery, lied about the violent assault, and then filed a fraudulent claim with her insurance company to bilk her carrier out of millions of dollars.”
The lawsuit claims that MTO‘s “reckless and malicious publication of the articles was calculated to cause maximum harm to Kardashian.”
Apparently, Kim’s team asked the gossip website to take the stories down and publish a retraction and apology for calling her a liar, but per the documents, the company ignored the request.
On October 3, while inside her Paris apartment, two armed men dressed as police officers assaulted and robbed the reality star. The lawsuit confirms that the robbers “placed a gun to her head, duct-taped her hands, legs and mouth, and then left her lying helplessly on the bathroom floor.”
The culprits took off with millions of dollars worth of jewelry.
