Exclusive! Hollywood Elite Livid Over Donald Trump’s Controversial Remarks: Alan Thicke, Allison Holker, Others Speak Out

During Sunday night’s presidential debate, Donald Trump called his controversial remarks about groping and fondling women “locker room” chatter. The inexusable comments, however, left a bitter taste in the mouths of millions of people, including some of Hollywood’s elite.

Over the weekend, a video went viral of Robert De Niro blasting the Republican Presidential Nominee for being a “blatantly stupid … punk” who “doesn’t know what he’s talking about, doesn’t do his homework, doesn’t care, thinks he’s gaming society, doesn’t pay his taxes. He’s an idiot. Colin Powell said it best: He’s a national disaster. He’s an embarrassment to this country. It makes me so angry that this country has gotten to this point that this fool, this bozo, has wound up where he has.”

Whether being called an “idiot” or a “bozo,” De Niro’s remarks aren’t exactly a far departure from what other stars think of Trump.

During Saturday night’s Carousel of Hope Ball in Beverly Hills, HipHollywood caught up with Alan Thicke, who suggested “we’ve all wondered every week whether the next thing out of Donald’s mouth would end his candidacy and it never has. So I think we are at an edge where his supporters are all about his attitude.”

Thicke added, “We will have to wait and see how it plays out.”

Dancing with the Stars pro dancer Allison Holker also spoke out, telling us “as a woman, as a working woman, as a woman that is a mother, a woman that has two kids, a woman that has a husband  … I was very offended by Donald Trump’s comments. I think they were very offensive to women as a whole and I think it shows that we can’t have some of that in leadership.”

Meanwhile, although unable to vote, 16-year-old black-ish star Yara Shahidi revealed to us that this is “a difficult election happening” and that “I know who I would be voting for if I were 18.”

The Carousel Ball has been a Hollywood favorite for 30 years and is an event dedicated to raising awareness and ultimately, finding a cure for diabetes. This year, the honorees were Sidney Poitier, Jane Fonda and David Foster — Jamie Fox and Idina Menzel provided entertainment for the night.
